Overview:
Catalino provides national leadership for forestry and research programs related to production, protection, and utilization of forest resources, and funding for advanced degrees in forestry; provides leadership for the McIntire-Stennis Cooperative Forestry Program; serves as NIFA expert in forest and wood fiber products research; oversees forestry research projects under the formula-based Hatch program and congressionally-directed research and extension projects; coordinates the Forestry Research Advisory Council on forestry research priorities and funding.
