Overview:
Mary Ann provides national leadership for conservation and environment research, education and extension programs. She is the NIFA NEPA (National Environmental Protection Act) contact. She manages NIFA competitive grants in climate change including joint grants with the National Science Foundation, as well as the SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) grants for soil, water and air. She serves on USAID Feed the Future international committees. She is a liaison to EPA offices of air, water, pesticides and policy, to Natural Resources Conservation Service, Farm Service Agency, US Geological Survey, and committees including Certified Crop Advisors, Conservation Technology Innovation Center and a number of Hatch multi-state committees.
