Supplemental and Alternative Crops Competitive Grants Program

The Supplemental and Alternative Crops Competitive Grants Program (SACC) supports the significant increase of alternative crop acreage by the development and testing of: superior germplasm, establishment and extension of various methods of planting, cultivation, harvesting, processing, and transfer of such applied research from experimental sites to on farm practice as soon as practicable. FY 2009 funding will support Canola research on field production, including, but not limited to, genetic improvement.
