State Animal Health Officials (SAHOs)
The SAHO section covers topics that are of interest to authorized respondents for State, D.C., and Insular Area entities, which typically include the chief Animal Health Official, the State Veterinarian, or a designee as duly authorized by the chief governing official of the entity (typically the Governor or equivalent). The information provided in the links below primarily covers the nomination and designation processes for veterinary shortage situations, to be filled by VMLRP award recipients.
The FY 2012 period to nominate veterinary shortage situations opens on December 27, 2011 and closes on February 27, 2012 (60 day period). Additional information on how to submit nominations is provided in the Nomination Guide link below.
