Center for Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD)

The Center for Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD) at Iowa State University makes baseline projections of prices, quantities, trade flows, and consumption for major temperate crops and livestock for House and Senate Committees with jurisdiction over agricultural and trade policy.

Its research provides the committees with timely analysis of proposed or pending trade agreements, trade policy changes occurring as a result of the World Trade Organization (WTO) agreement, the expansion of the European Union, the accession of China to the WTO, and the trade impacts of new U.S. farm policy.
