Food and Agriculture Policy
Research Institute (FAPRI)
The Food and Agriculture Policy Research
Institute (FAPRI) works with members of Congress
and their staffs to identify policy alternatives
requiring expert analysis. FAPRI uses its
own modeling system to estimate the impacts
of different policies on agricultural markets,
farm income, government outlays, and other
indicators that are helpful to policy makers.
FAPRI has two major objectives:
- To provide information to help these
public decisionmakers evaluate farm policy
options.
- To develop the capacity to conduct quantitative
analysis of agricultural policy issues.
FAPRI only provides information useful to
policy makers; it neither supports nor opposes
specific policy proposals. For detailed information,
visit the FAPRI websites at Iowa
State University and the University
of Missouri.
