USDA Economic Research
Service (ERS)
The USDA Economic
Research Service (ERS) provides economic
analyses to support:
- A competitive agricultural system.
- A safe food supply.
- A healthy, well-nourished population.
- Harmony between agriculture and the
environment.
- An enhanced quality of life for rural
Americans.
NIFA partners with the ERS to disseminate
research findings and present federal budget
requests in areas of common interest to USDA.
These areas include child care and after-school
needs in rural America and other issues related
to child and family well-being.
