USDA National Agricultural
Library (NAL)
The USDA National
Agricultural Library (NAL) provides
references and information services to
national and international users. Users
of the Library's services include:
- Federal, state, and local government
scientists and officials.
- Farmers.
- Professors, researchers, and students
at universities and colleges.
- Private scientific and agricultural organizations.
- Business leaders.
- News media.
- General public.
- Foreign agricultural organizations.
Services can be requested in person, by
telephone, in writing or through the Internet.
Because of the comprehensive and unique nature
of the Library's collection, potential users
are asked to use local, state, provincial,
and country resources before requesting assistance
from NAL.
NAL has a collection of information, primarily
focused on nutrition, that is designed specifically
for child care providers and programs. NIFA
partners with NAL to disseminate the information
to local citizens across America.
