Impact on Agricultural Literacy

A recent study, The Impact of Selected ‘Agriculture in the Classroom' Teachers on Student Agricultural Literacy, assessed the agricultural knowledge of selected public school classrooms in grades K-6 that received instruction from teachers trained by the NIFA Agriculture in the Classroom Program. Also, teacher agricultural knowledge was assessed and the relationship of teacher demographic factors of education, the type of agricultural literacy preparation, how agricultural knowledge was integrated into instruction, and how teachers made agricultural connections to student agriculture knowledge were examined.
