Texas Air Quality Project Wins State Award
A NIFA-funded air quality project at the Texas AgriLife Research and Extension Center recently recieved the 2010 Texas Environmental Excellence Award from the Texas Comission on Environmental Quality.
Five agencies and universities worked together on the project, "Air Quality: Reducing Emissions from Cattle Feedlots and Dairies," to develop science-basd emission factors and cost-effective abatement technologies. Additionally, the group shared their research with the feedlot and dairy industry and regulators.
