USDA Council for Sustainable
Development
The USDA
Council for Sustainable Development coordinates
and guides sustainable development efforts
among USDA and other federal, regional,
and state government agencies in three
areas:
- Forest management.
- Agriculture.
- Rural community development.
Its current events and programs include: World
Summit on Sustainable Development; My
Community, Our Earth (MyCOE); White
Water to Blue Water; Landcare;
and United
Nations Decade on Education for Sustainable
Development.
The Council sponsors a Seminar Series though
which NIFA national program leaders organize
sessions and partners present programs.
