The Natural Resources Conservation Service
(NRCS) and NIFA work in partnership toward
soil conservation through various programs:
- The Environmental Quality Incentives
Program (EQIP)
provides funding through the states to
implement practices to reduce environmental
impact of agriculture.
- NIFA collaborates with the NRCS Technical
Service Provider Registry, which
helps landowners with technical questions
related to soil.
- NIFA participates in programs and research
priorities for NRCS National
Cooperative Soil Survey through research
grants and service on committees.
