Sudden Oak Death Research
at Cal-Poly State University
The loss of oak woodlands to both urban
and agricultural development is occurring
at an increasing rate. The potential loss
from Sudden Oak Death could have an even
greater impact on these forests in the future
if nothing is done. Gaining knowledge, through
science, that can justify the management
of oak woodlands for their resource values
will help to conserve this valuable forest
ecosystem.
