National Conferences on Sustainability

NIFA helped fund three national meetings on sustainability that have been hosted by the National Council for Science and the Environment (NCSE):

• Sustainable Communities: Science and Solutions (December 6-7, 2001).
• Education for a Sustainable and Secure Future (January 30-31, 2003).
• Water for a Sustainable and Secure Future (January 29-30, 2004).

Reports from these conferences recommend research, education, and extension action suitable for NIFA and its university and college partners.
