In making authorization decisions regarding the use of the 4-H Name and Emblem, 4-H National Headquarters uses a checklist as one of the primary decision tools. The checklist criteria is based on the federal regulations (7CFR8) and national guidance. The long version provides example scenarios for each criteria while the short version does not provide examples. The criteria standards in both versions is the same. Please note that this is only one tool in the process and other resources on the 4-H Name and Emblem web page should also be reviewed.
