NIFA Invests $1M to Expand Ag-Focused Open Data Framework (ODF)

NIFA is investing more than $950,000 toward the expansion of a public-private cooperative open data framework — based on open data standards — to preserve and share the big data generated by technological advancements in the agriculture industry and for the preservation and curation of data in collaboration with Land-grant Universities and other entities. The National Agricultural Producer Data Cooperative data framework will support development of advanced technologies and practices to meet the increasingly complex challenges of farmers and ranchers.
