The USDA's National Institute of Food and Agriculture launched a new competitive grant program under the Research Facilities Act Program (RFAP) in 2023. The RFAP has been reauthorized to allocate one-year funding in 2024. The program is designed to assist in the construction, alteration, acquisition, modernization, renovation, or remodeling of an agricultural research facility to enhance the institution’s long-term impact on food and agricultural research.
