In FY2023 the Laying Hen and Turkey Research program, authorized by the 2018 Farm Bill (7 USC Section 5925), was appropriated funding as a competitive program to support research to improve efficiency and sustainability of laying hen and turkey production through integrated collaborative research and technology transfer. This program supported two projects, one in laying hens and the other in turkeys.
