The Agricultural and Food Research Initiative (AFRI) Program supports research, education, and extension work important to the U.S. food and agricultural sector that is geographically dispersed.
AFRI awards fund projects that encompass components of the six Farm Bill priorities: Plant Health and Production and Plant Products; Animal Health and Production and Animal Products; Food Safety, Nutrition, and Health; Bioenergy, Natural Resources, and Environment; Agricultural Systems and Technology; and Agricultural Economics and Rural Communities.
Note: Projects reported for each year are determined by the fiscal year the grant was awarded, NOT the fiscal year the application was submitted. Not all areas had project awards each year, so some reports will be blank.
