
Amber is a born Michigander from Detroit, and went to school at Michigan State University graduating with honors in 2 B.A.s in Political Science and Interdisciplinary Studies, specializing in Geography and International Development. She achieved an M.A. in Peace and Conflict Management from University of Haifa, Israel and has been United States Department of Education certified. She has served in the Peace Corps for over 4 years in health and youth development in the posts of Lesotho and Zambia. Before moving to Kansas City, she worked in the non-profit world with Detroit youth coordinating and teaching service-learning. Now, she is a happy and proud K.C. resident and local professional, ready for a long-term career in the USDA NIFA. She is eager to grow roots professionally and personally for the years to come.
