Web-based tool helps farmers adapt to changing growing conditions

American farmers have a long history of overcoming obstacles, such as helping the country emerge from the Dust Bowl by switching to contour plowing in 1938 and eradicating the boll weevil in 1978 by employing integrated pest management techniques. In both cases – and many others – the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) was there to help farmers achieve success.
