Dr. Campbell is a national program leader with NIFA's Animal Systems Division. She is a biocultural anthropologist with expertise in agricultural decision making, food production, cultural ecology, sustainability and producer perceptions. Prior to joining NIFA, Dr. Campbell was an adjunct assistant professor of Anthropology at Kansas State University and served as manager for multiple USDA-NIFA funded research projects. She has conducted research into farmer and rancher decision making processes and management practice adoption as well as the beliefs, concerns, and attitudes of beef cattle producers and Extension educators in the Southern Great Plains region. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Anthropology from Emory University, and a B.S. in Anthropology from Kansas State University.
