Dr. Chris Philips is a National Program Leader in the Institute of Food Production and Sustainability’s Division of Plant Protection. He provides national leadership for NIFA’s research and extension programs covering the behavior and ecology of insect pests and beneficial species in agricultural systems.
Prior to joining NIFA Chris worked in both academia and industry. In his role as Assistant Professor of Entomology at the University of Minnesota his research focused on the integrated management of arthropod pests, pollinators, and beneficial insects in fruit and vegetable crops. Most recently, he served as the Director of Product Development and Technical Services for North and South America at ISK Biosciences.
Chris received his B.S and M.S. in Entomology from the University of Delaware and his Ph.D. in Entomology from Virginia Tech.
