Logan Appenfeller joined the NIFA team in Kansas City, MO as a Program Specialist (Biological Science Specialist) for the Institute of Food Production and Sustainability’s Division of Plant Systems-Protection. In this position, Appenfeller works with National Program Leaders to administer the peer review process of grant proposals submitted to NIFA. He earned a M.S. in Entomology from Michigan State University where he researched the impacts of farm management practices on arthropods in organic agroecosystems. He also has a B.S. in Environmental Biology from Washburn University in Topeka, KS.
