The Research, Extension, and Education Project Online Reporting Tool (REEport) is NIFA’s primary grant reporting system for NIFA-funded, non-capacity (competitive) projects.
The system collects both technical and financial data related to NIFA-funded, non-capacity (competitive) projects and allows grantees to report significant accomplishments and impacts of their research, extension, and educational work.
***NOTE: NIFA, in collaboration with our Land-Grant University (LGU) partners, is building a new grants management and reporting system, integrating the Plan of Work and REEport applications into a unified system, the NIFA Reporting System (NRS). The transition to NRS began in 2020 with capacity-funded programs. REEport will remain active for non-capacity grant reporting until all reporting functionality has transitioned to NRS.
Who Uses REEport
Land-Grant Universities, Independent Institutions, and Internal Users all use REEport. Find out more about each group and get specific REEport guidance and instructions:

- These institutions have more administrative oversight in REEport.
- Independent Institutions
- Organizations only receive non-capacity (competitive) funds.
- Can be businesses or universities.
- Internal Users
- NIFA staff who review and approve project data, ensure proper technical language and scientific classifications, as well as accomplishments and impact statements.
