Have you ever wondered how funding decisions are made?  Do you have questions about serving on a Peer Review Panel and helping to make funding decision?  If the answer to any of these questions is “yes,” watch this session of the Grant Applicant/Awardee Technical Assistance (GAATA) series.

Peer review is key to the NIFA application review process for competitive grant programs. In this webinar, NIFA national program leaders explain:

  • the functions of the peer review panels
  • the roles of different panelists
  • how you can volunteer to serve and contribute to funding decision making. 

NIFA recruits diverse panelists from all applicant communities, especially universities and colleges, government agencies, small businesses, community-based organizations, and others, to review and recommend applications for funding.  NIFA has deemed that panel diversity is important and self-nominations are encouraged.
