The Specialty Crop Research Initiative (SCRI) competitive grant program aims to address the critical needs of the specialty crops industries (as defined in Appendix III) by awarding grants to support research and Extension that address key challenges of national, regional, and multistate importance in supporting all components of food and agriculture, including conventional and organic food production systems. The program recognizes that the multistate nature of projects can be difficult to address for some specialty crops grown in a limited number of states.
In this technical assistance webinar, NIFA SCRI program staff will discuss the FY 2026 SCRI program and highlight the significant changes for FY 2026.
