To expedite distribution of Fiscal Year 2025 NIFA grant funds for RREA-NFF program, some processes for this FY have changed. This program will not issue a NOFO in FY25. Funds will be distributed to existing projects or previously peer-reviewed and meritorious but unfunded proposals. NIFA will issue an NOFO in FY26 upon receipt of appropriations.

The purpose of the grant program is to provide funds for extension projects that have national or regional relevancy. In particular, the program supports extension projects that address emerging forest and rangeland resources through the adoption of climate-smart technologies among forest and rangeland owners.
