NIFA staff for the Gus Schumacher Nutrition Incentive Program (GusNIP) will host a 2-part webinar for applicants interested in applying to the GusNIP Nutrition Incentive competitive program on April 25, 2022 at 3:00 PM Eastern Time (Part 1) & April 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time (Part 2). The webinar will focus on the FY 2022 GusNIP Nutrition Incentive Request for Applications (RFA), general program guidelines, GusNIP NTAE Center’s Nutrition Incentive Hub free one-on-one support, and the required core firm-level and participant-level metrics.
GusNIP brings together stakeholders from various parts of the food and healthcare systems. The competitive grant program portfolio includes nutrition incentive projects, produce prescription projects, and training, technical assistance, evaluation, and information centers which provide support services to both nutrition incentive and produce prescription projects. Nutrition incentive projects aim to increase the purchase of fruits and vegetables by low-income consumers participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) by providing incentives at the point of purchase.
