Meridith Berry

Program Assistant
Meridith is a native Missourian from Pattonsburg, Missouri. She grew up in the Kansas City suburbs and attended college at the University of Missouri in Columbia where she earned a BS in Secondary Education. She also earned her doctorate in education from MU. She attended Northwest Missouri State University where she received a master’s degree. Meridith taught school in a local public district for seventeen years. While working for MU Extension, she held the specialist positions of information technology, family financial education, and community economic development.

Before coming to USDA, she taught leadership classes in the women’s correctional facility in Chillicothe, Missouri, and financial courses for re-entry programs in Western Missouri Correctional Center in Cameron, MO. She is FEMA certified and taught community emergency response team classes in Mercer and Grundy counties. Meridith volunteers to work with middle- and low-income households to prepare federal and state tax returns. She also serves on a not-for-profit board of directors for a resource center in a nearby community. Meridith is pleased to have the opportunity to work with the NIFA staff and leadership and looks forward to the challenges of her position.
