Rekia Salter

Program Specialist
Rekia Salter joined NIFA in 2021. She received her B.S. in Animal Science from Tuskegee University. After graduating from Tuskegee University, she received her M.S. in Dairy Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During her masters her research was focused on improving the welfare of socially housed dairy calves. Currently Rekia works as a Program Specialist in the Animal Systems Division and works with the Welfare and Well-being of Agricultural Animals, Interdisciplinary Engagement in Animal Systems (IDEAS), Food Animal Residue Avoidance Databank (FARAD), and Diseases of Agricultural Animals programs.
