Seminar Overview

Healthy eating is one of the most powerful tools at our disposal to reduce the onset of disease and decrease how much we spend on healthcare. This session will highlight the role of science in developing the 2015-2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans and how the Guidelines and key recommendations are put into action for consumers. Specifically, the new ‘MyPlate, My Wins’ campaign provides the building blocks – including innovative online tools and inspiring resources - to create healthy eating solutions for consumers across the country. Come to the table! Everyone has a role to play in encouraging easy, accessible, and affordable ways to support healthy eating at home, schools, workplaces and our communities.
