Sample Language to Request De Minimis Indirect Cost Rate

This resource is a sample memo intended for a direct recipient of a NIFA award who is eligible and elects to use the 10% de minimis indirect cost rate.  For documentation purposes, NIFA requests the eligible direct recipient to provide a request for the de minimis rate on their entity’s letter head to the NIFA Awards Management Division - Administrative Point of Contact at awards@usda.gov.
