Technical Assistance Q&A Webinar: Smith-Lever Special Needs Competitive Grants Program
Description: Join NIFA staff on March 24, 2023, at 2:00 pm ET (1:00 pm CT) for a RFA technical assistance Q&A webinar regarding the Smith-Lever Special Needs Competitive Grants Program. A pre-recorded video is available to applicants on the funding opportunity listing; applicants are highly encouraged to watch the pre-recorded video prior to this RFA technical assistance Q&A webinar. During this RFA technical assistance Q&A webinar, NIFA staff will briefly highlight the program and then will spend the remainder of time answering participants’ questions.
Within the states and territories, the Cooperative Extension System has repeatedly served as the trusted community organization that has helped to enable families, communities, and businesses to successfully prepare for, respond to and cope with disaster losses and critical incidents. The Smith-Lever Special Needs Competitive Grant Program supports innovative, education-based approaches to address disaster preparedness and specific responses related to disasters or disaster threats caused by natural, human-made, or technological hazards, or by other factors that contribute to the exposure or vulnerability of a community.
