Colin Finan brings more than 20 years of working in federal and state food, agriculture, and environmental policy to NIFA -- most notably after a decade of managing the food safety portfolio at the Pew Charitable Trusts. Before that he worked at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars' nanotechnology program and was a reporter for Washington-based newsletters that covered water, environment and energy policy. He began his career as a reporter at the Rio Grande Sun newspaper in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico, covering agriculture issues after receiving a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Mr. Finan is a proud third-generation public servant.
