Special Assistant to the Associate Directors

Mr. Lynwood McDaniel Jr. is the Special Assistant to the Associate Directors at the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture. He has an extensive work history that spans across the areas of education, state, and federal government systems.

Prior to joining USDA-NIFA, he worked for the following federal agencies: US Department of Housing and Urban Development, US Department of Health and Human Services-Administration for Children and Families, and Social Security Administration. Mr. McDaniel holds a Postgraduate Professional degree, Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Early Childhood Education from Northcentral University and a Master of Public Policy (M.P.P) from Walden University. He also earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child Development from South Carolina State University.
