
Dr. Rachel Melnick is the Division Director for Global Climate Change in the Institute of Bioenergy, Climate, and Environment. In this role, she provides leadership and oversight for the division’s research, education and extension activities. Prior to joining NIFA in this current role, she worked at a scientific non-profit and was the National Program Leader for Agroclimatology at USDA NIFA. Dr. Melnick received her bachelor’s degree from the Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and master’s degree and doctorate from The Pennsylvania State University. She completed a postdoc at the USDA Sustainable Perennial Crops Lab.
