The Data Gateway enables users to find funding data, metrics, and information about research, education, and extension projects that have received grant awards from NIFA.

NIFA is committed to increasing transparency and making technical advancements to ensure that data is easily accessible to the public. The Data Gateway is publicly accessible.
HOW TO ACCESS THE TOOL
The Data Gateway search modules are accessed by the public through the NIFA Data Gateway webpage.
- To access the project detail, financial detail, and advanced search modules, click the Launch NIFA Enterprise Search button on the NIFA Data Gateway webpage.
- In these search modules, users can use terms and filters to search for projects, choose the data elements to see in the results, and export the results.

To view recent award data, Congressional funding data, award trends, or searches by: Knowledge Area, Subject of Investigation, or Field of Science, click on one of the six standard search modules on the NIFA Data Gateway webpage.
NIFA university partners with active user accounts may also access the project detail, financial detail, and advanced search modules through the NIFA Reporting Portal (NRP). The save search function is only accessible when these search modules are accessed through NRP. In NRP, users with active accounts will see the search box embedded under the “Search NIFA Projects” header. NRP users may use the “Reset password” link on the NRP login screen if they do not remember their password.
