The A1461 Environmental Justice program area priority within USDA NIFA’s Agriculture and Food Research Initiative (AFRI) Foundational and Applied Science Program seeks to advance understanding of environmental justice in the context of injustices affecting food and agriculture, local natural resources, and rural economies that are impacted by climate change.
Project Director Chyi-Lyi Liang will lead the team — which includes the University of Florida, North Carolina Central University, and UC Berkeley — on the project, “Designing novel approaches to map implicit benefits of investments in underserved communities.”
