Dr. Moser is the division director for Plant Systems – Production in the Institute of Food Production and Sustainability. She works with Division staff to manage funding opportunities to support the research, education and Extension projects to address national and international food security and sustainability challenges.
Dr. Moser came to NIFA in 2022 after spending 12 years in a variety of leadership roles in the agricultural industry that ranged from developing industry-academic research programs to digital strategy for crop research.
Dr. Moser earned a B.S. in animal ecology at Iowa State University, an M.S. in entomology at Iowa State University and Ph.D. in entomology at the University of Kentucky. After obtaining her Ph.D., she completed a postdoctoral research position at USDA’s Agricultural Research Service in the Corn Insects and Crop Genetics Research unit.
