The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSI) program staff presented a webinar on Dec. 6, 2023 describing the FY 2024 Hispanic-Serving Institutions Education Grants Program Request for Application (RFA). This competitively awarded grant program is intended to promote and strengthen the ability of HSIs to carry out higher education programs in food and agricultural sciences and train students to enhance the Nation’s food and agricultural scientific and professional workforce.
The webinar covers the purpose and priorities of the grant program, eligibility information, the grant types supported, application details and submission, the evaluation process, and resources for preparing an application. Application deadlines are February 6, 2024 (regular grants), February 7, 2024 (collaboration grants), and February 8, 2024 (conference grants) by 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
